My Thoughts: Again, Kimber Leigh Wheaton, is an amazing writer and it was easy for me to get lost in the beauty of her details. The way she writes has you taking a moment to close your eyes to really appreciate what it is you're reading. The characters are easy to fall in love with, each and everyone has their own struggles to overcome making you, as the reader, appreciate them even more. A great follow-up to the first book in the series, Shadow Fire, but really I could stand on its own without even reading the first book. The only complaint I have is that the plot was very similar to Shadow Fire and I was able to guess how things would turn out, but I would read it all over again anyways because of the engaging picture the author paints for you.
Honestly my favorite character is Caleb, the young boy with magical abilities that the group saved in the first book, to see how much he has grown and the fact that Katarina is able to win him over when he rarely lets people in is heart warming. Stolen Moon takes place four years after Shadow Fire, giving you a glimpse into the lives of your favorite characters from the first book and what they are up to now. I love this series and the how well written it is and cannot wait until the next book comes out!!
