But as he pushes her to rebel against the people who raised her, Sydney finds that breaking free is harder than she thought. There is an old and mysterious magic rooted deeply within her. And as she searches for an evil magic user targeting powerful young witches, she realizes that her only hope is to embrace her magical blood--or else she might be next

My Thoughts: I love Sydney and Adrian! This book just flies by, even for the third time. There are vampires and witches and even a cute little dragon shows up. I just love reading about everything Sydney has to overcome in her life, and there is a lot, all while fighting her feelings for Adrian. Adrian continues make passing comments about how amazing she is and how much he loves her. These characters have really grown on me, first with The Vampire Academy series and now with this spin off Bloodlines series. I could read this series over and over and not get board, so much happens throughout this book especially for Adrian and Sydney. Every stolen moment they have when Sydney lets her guard down gets my heart pumping! I just love everything about this book!!
